What major prophet of the Bible was probably deformed and could not worship God in the Temple under the legislation of the Old Testament?: He was a very famous prophet. He was Daniel. Daniel and his three friends had been taken to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar and placed under Ashpenaz "the master of the eunuchs" (Daniel 1:3,7). It was prophesied in II Kings 20:17,19 and Isaiah 39:7 that some of the royal children of David’s dynasty would be emasculated. Daniel was probably such a eunuch. It may seem strange but emasculation prevented anyone from being recognized as a legal Israelite, from holding any spiritual office among his own people, and he was excluded from the Old Covenant relationship of God with Israel (Deuteronomy 23:1). In spite of this, God used Daniel and his three friends mightily.
