Though the Passover animal had to be a yearling (no more than a year old), what was the youngest age allowed for the animal?
 

Any animal sacrifice, of which the Passover was one, could not be offered under eight days old – inclusive reckoning (Leviticus 22:27). On the eighth day, however, the Passover animal could be cooked and eaten.
