- I wrote this month’s main article to give a biblical understanding of
what your resurrection experience will be like. I am also describing
my own experience and that of everyone else when all together we experience
the first or “former” resurrection (Revelation 20:5–6).
The second article deals with the basic issues of archaeology. It was written in 1975. Dr. Martin spent 5 summers of 1969–1973 supervising students for the archaeological dig at the southwestern corner outside the Haram esh-Sharif (the so-called temple mount).

- This month’s article presents biblical information that some may consider is religious speculation, but it is fully informed by sound biblical exegesis as well as a recognition of current scientific understanding.

- The article this month
follows on directly from last month’s article. It is “The Life and Times of
the Antichrist, Part 2” by Dr. Ernest L. Martin. In looking at the two
articles together I am stunned at how packed with information they both are.
There is a great deal more information about the Antichrist and his
associates than you ever thought possible. The details will surprise you.

- This month’s article is derived from a 1992 booklet
by Dr. Ernest L. Martin. Although later research led him to change his
understanding regarding the spirits involved with the Antichrist and his
cohorts, the conclusions from the 1992 information remains provocative. Some
will consider them to be controversial.

- This month’s article by Dr. Ernest L. Martin
presents background and
significance to historical events that occurred 11 years after Christ’s
resurrection. To those who lived at the time, these events to mark
the beginning of the last generation leading up to the establishment of the
Kingdom of God on earth.

- The title of this month’s
article by Dr. Ernest L. Martin is "The Arrogance of Man". The dictionary
meanings of “arrogance” are (1) an overestimation of one’s own importance, (2)
an inordinate sense of one’s own superiority, and (3) a shamelessly insolent
boldness and self-assurance. Dr. Martin’s discussion of mankind’s arrogance as a creation of God shows that
even believers in God and Christ can be arrogant in their understanding of
salvation.

- The education of every
human being begins when we take the first breath. With that first breath the
spirit of man (from God, 1 Corinthians 2:11) enters the body and a unique living
soul is formed. The five senses begin to come “online” (to use a cybernetics
metaphor), and begin to register sensations, comparing each new sensation with
other sensations.

- This month’s article is titled “When Prophecies ‘Fail’” and it follows on from last month’s
article on Haggai regarding the nature of prophecy and disappointment with prophecies not
coming to pass. Underlying the article is this question for us today: if
biblical prophecies did not occur when they were expected, why should we
believe the Bible about prophecies in our future? Dr. Martin explains that
God informs His people as to His intentions in their lives, punishing and
rewarding them when appropriate.
March 1, 2009
- This month’s article is a verse by verse exposition
by Dr. Ernest L. Martin of the prophecies given to the prophet Haggai from
the small book with his name, 3rd from last of the 12 Minor
Prophets. You will learn that not everything prophesied in Haggai was
fulfilled when the prophecy was originally given by God through Haggai to
the people of Judah returning from Babylon. Some prophecies are for the time
just future to us.

- Jesus Christ is our high priest. That is the subject of this month’s article, “Christ as High Priest.” In this article I will first go over some background information about priesthood, and then get into detail on how Christ fulfills His role as High Priest. This is made plain in the sermon we call the Book of Hebrews.
January 1, 2009
- This month's article will assess the
value of the first English Bible published with the books presented in the
original and correct manuscript order. I will also briefly assess the
translation itself.
